Manchester City Striker, Erling Haaland wins Premier League Player of the Season and Young Player of the Year 2022/23

Formal Borussia Dortmund striker and Norwegian, Erling Halaand has been awarded the Premier League player of the season and as well the Young Player of the Year for the 2022/2023 season with Manchester City.

The 22-year-old striker finished the season with 36 leagues in just 35 appearances and was able to break a 29-years-old record of having the most strikes in a single premier league season. His 44 goals contributions is the joint highest of all-time in EPL, equalling a record set by former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry in the 2002/03 season.

The 22-year-old prolific striker netted 36-goals in his first 35 appearances with Manchester City as also over 8 assists to his name making it 44 goal contributions for the club in his debut season.

3. Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Despite Tottenham not having a good season it still didn’t stop the English forward Harry Kane from having a remarkable season. He was able to finish the season with 28 goals in 37 EPL appearances so far in the 2022/23 season and also has 30 goals in 48 games across all competitions.

4. Martin Odegaard (Arsenal FC)

 

 

 

 

 

Arsenal Captain, Martin Odegaard has had a good run in the 2022/23 Premier League season after the team finished second place under Manchester City in the EPL.

The 24-year-old Premier League midfielder netted 15 goals and 7 assists in 36 matches summing up to 23 goal contributions for the season.

5. Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford on the other hand netted 17 times and made 5 assists in 34 Premier League appearances so far in the 2022/23 season which contributed in the team finishing top four in the Premier League title race.

6. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal FC)

Arsenal’s number 7 Bukayo Saka, aged just 21-years-old has contributed majorly in the team after having double figures for both goals and assists and is one out of two players to do so this season.

Unfortunately, all his efforts for the team to win the 2022/23 EPL came to nothing as the team finished second place below Manchester City but However they were able to secure a spot in the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League.

7. Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United)

Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United) after moving from Atletico Madrid to Newcastle had a nice debut season. He created over 104 chances which is the second most by any player this season and this earned him a spot in the premier league best player of the season.
